Knowledge, Choices, Change  These words describe what our mission is all about.                HealthyLiving Foundation,a non-profit 501-c-3 organization, was formed to create awareness about the issues of poor indoor air quality. In order to make the right decisions about protecting the health of our communities; researchers, policymakers and citizens need to know more about the health impact of indoor living environments. With appropriate eduction about environmental health risks, HealthyLiving Foundation will suggest choices to make the changes necessary to have a healthy living space.

 "HEALTHY-n-GREEN is...Healthy Indoor Air", is a coloring book focusing on Indoor Air Quality issues, is in the final stages of development.  This environmental educational tool shows students "problem"and "solution" pages relating to many indoor air quality issues.  Topics such as dust mites, pesticides, personal care products, painting, renovations, mold, dust mites, cleaning products and smoking will be reviewed with parent tips and website referencesmat the bottom of each page.  The development and production of the coloring book has been sponsored by HealthyLiving Interiors, with a percentage of the proceeds to continue the work of HealthyLiving Foundation and its programs.

 Asthma Friendly Make-Over Contest - This annual event, sponsored by HealthyLiving Interiors, celebrates May being Asthma Awareness Month, an International event.  In an effort to raise awareness about indoor air pollutants which trigger asthma and ways of preventing children's asthma episodes, HealthyLiving Foundation and Palm Beach County sponsors create an asthmatic child's bedroom make-over.  We educate about ways to make the sleeping area asthma-friendly, since a child spends one third of their life in their bedrooms.  In addition to providing a beautiful healthy bedroom, we also give an assessment of the home providing tips on improving indoor air quality.  All families who participate in this event will be given educational materials on making their own spaces asthma-friendly.   Click here for more information 

Florida Alliance for Healthy Indoor Environments (FAHIE) is a statewide coalition that HealthyLiving Foundation is a founding member of.  We are a proactive organization comprised of a coalition of parents, environmental health organizations and health professionals.  Our mission is to assist schools to become healthier and safer places for staff and students by providing resource assistance to explore green cleaning practices.  FAHIE, in partnership with the Center for Health, Environment and Justice, (CHEJ) has created a network of facilities managers, purchasing departments, and state and federal environmental and health professionals to assist in the practical resources for green cleaning.  Click here for more information
