Knowledge. Choices. Change.

Be the Change you want to see in the World - GHANDI

Knowledge, Choices, Change  These words describe what our mission is all about.

HealthyLiving Foundation,a non-profit 501-c-3 organization, was formed to create awareness about the issues of poor indoor air quality. In order to make the right decisions about protecting the health of our communities; researchers, policymakers and citizens need to know more about the health impact of indoor living environments. With appropriate eduction about environmental health risks, HealthyLiving Foundation will suggest choices to make the changes necessary to have a healthy living space.

"HEALTHY-n-GREEN is...Healthy Indoor Air", is an educational coloring book focusing on Indoor Air Quality issues.  This environmental educational tool shows students "problem"and "solution" pages relating to many indoor air quality issues.  Topics such as dust mites, pesticides, personal care products, painting, renovations, mold, dust mites, cleaning products and smoking will be reviewed with parent tips and website referencesmat the bottom of each page.

On April 29, 2009 in celebration of National Healthy Schools Day, Independence Middle School in Jupiter Florida will kick off a pilot program of an environmental educational teaching curriculum which follows the book.  Healthy-n-Green, LLC will contribute a percentage of the proceeds to continue the work of HealthyLiving Foundation and its programs. Contact www.healthy-n-green.com

May is Asthma Awareness Month - Please check out www.southfloridaasthma.org  to take an asthma awareness survey.  What triggers asthma?  How many people have asthma?  How do you get it, and can you outgrow it?  How can you manage it?  These are a few questions you may have about asthma, a chronic disease which has reached epidemic numbers.  HealthyLiving Foundation has partnered with South Florida Asthma Consortium to bring awareness, outreach and advocacy about the most chronic childhood disease.
